I have here for your consideration a Franklin Mint 20" porcelain/cloth Doll "Violette" a Parisian Beauty NIB. She is sculpted of fine bisque porcelain and meticulously painted-by-hand. her blonde hair is styled in an upswept pompadour with cascading ringlets and wispy tendrils that beautifully frame her sophisticated features. She is dressed in shimmering Jacquard and lace. Her spring ensemble is simply beautiful and completely authentic to the turn of the century time period. The gown is sewn of amethyst jacquard, with a tightly fitted bodice and a cascading ecru lace jabot. Her lace peplum is drawn back into a stylish bustle. And her dress is adorned with tiny bouquets of handmade silken ribbon violets her namesake flower. A magnificent feathered hat that ties under her chin with tulle ribbon, matching parasol, hand painted shoes, and even a faux cameo pinned at the neck of her gown.
